When it comes to wedding music, personalization is key. Cole conducts a music consultation call with each couple three weeks before their big day. “We cover ceremony music, background music, slow songs, event-specific tracks, and a deep dive into dance party music,” he shares. This collaborative process helps him tailor a playlist that reflects the couple’s preferences while keeping the dance floor packed. 

“I also live mix during the dance party, which lets me read the crowd and seamlessly incorporate a variety of music styles,” Cole adds. This ensures that every moment, from the first dance to the last song, feels uniquely crafted for the couple and their guests. 

Over the years, Cole has discovered three crowd-pleasing songs that never fail to get guests on their feet:

Smooth coordination is essential for a successful event. Cole arrives at Thanksgiving Point an hour early to connect with the day-of wedding coordinator and other vendors. “We discuss the setup, timeline, and key moments for the evening,” he says. By ensuring everyone is on the same page, Cole helps the night flow effortlessly. 

“Throughout the event, I check in with the coordinator, the couple, and other vendors before making announcements to keep everything on track,” Cole explains. This attention to detail ensures that each transition—from toasts to the first dance—happens seamlessly. 

Cole has countless cherished memories from weddings at Thanksgiving Point, especially at the Loggia. “The ambiance there is incredible,” he says.
